Profile

Hiroyuki Koike is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Tokyo Medical and Dental University, specializing in stem cell biology and developmental biology. He has done post-doctoral work at Stanford University and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and has been conducting organoid research using human iPS cells, including creating continuous multi-organ organoids of liver-bile duct-pancreas. In recent years, he has been studying cell-cell interaction by single-cell analysis to clarify the factors that disrupt tissue homeostasis.
