    As a Japanese delegate, I participated the program. The marvelous program was organized by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). It was attended by 106 doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers from 19 Asia-Pacific and African countries and regions. Six Nobel laureates gave us distinguished lectures. Through the program, a heated discussion with young researchers impressed me with an importance of doing study with passion.

    I worked at a department of health system development, regional office for South East Asia (WHO/SEARO). Under the guidance of Dr. Islam, (1) I developed my understanding of fundamental properties of health care systems in South East Asian countries, (2) analysed e/m-health system and apprehend the importance of e/m-health systems to share health information in some areas, and (3) compared various concepts of e/m-health systems some South East Asian counties and Japan.
